Capel Farming

Formed in 2011, Capel Farming Ltd, undertakes the operational aspects of the farms business. It is used by CSA Farms, employing the staff and running the machinery fleet, also undertaking the operations for CSAs contract farms.

The farm benefits from the use of precision farming to enable data-driven site-specific decision making in order to optimise the land for better environmental and economic outcomes through programmes such as Omnia and TerraMap.

Omnia is a digital farming platform that works in alongside TerraMap using Multi-Dimensional Data Analysis to combine various data sources such as satellite imagery, soil sampling, yield data, and weather information. This layered approach supports us when making informed decisions about variable rate applications for nutrients, seeds, and crop protection products at a sub-field level rather than treating entire fields uniformly.
