ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION
Capel St Andrew Farms is proud of its abundant wildlife & diverse habitats.
Our policy is to protect the wildlife and the environment on the farm.
Careful consideration is given to all farming operations so that they do not have a detrimental effect on plant or animal life and their various habitats. We always aim to protect the environment in our every day practices and minimise the impact that our business has on the immediate and wider area.
We aim to apply all pesticides and fertilisers as accurately as we can and at rates that are the minimum required.
We fully embrace the integrated crop management (ICM) approach to crop production and will continue to evaluate our impact on the environment and review whether we are able to reduce our impact at any time.
We intentionally sow wild flower seeds around field boundaries to encourage wildlife and provide habitats for native species.
